Work with me
Nutritional Therapy Practitioners are trained to interpret foundational imbalances in the body and use diet, lifestyle, and supplemental nutrients to bring the body back into balance.
As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner I help you achieve results by:
Beginning our work with a thorough health history and re-assessing whenever necessary
Focusing on the root cause, rather than managing each individual symptom
Working systematically to address foundational body systems in order of importance
Educating you on lifestyle modifications to compliment your nutritional protocol
Empowering you to embrace your own agency in the process of resolving your health symptoms
This approach is fundamentally different than the medical model, and relies on you being an active and open minded participant in your health journey. You will get out what you put into this process.
Step 1: Initial Consultation, 15 minutes (by phone), Free
This consultation is an opportunity for you to tell me about your symptoms and health goals and ask any questions you may have about nutritional therapy. I will tell you about my philosophy, and ask you some questions about your expectations of the process, and your needs in a client-practitioner relationship.
Together we will decide if you are a good candidate for the nutritional therapy process we will move on to the intake scheduling process.
In some cases I may not feel that I am the best practitioner for you, based either on the type of care you require or your readiness to participate in a functional nutrition process. In this case I will make a referral or provide you with resources that best suit your needs.
Step 2: Comprehensive Intake Appointment, 90 minutes (in office or via secure video chat), $180
Once we have decided to work together, this is the first step for all new clients. Prior to booking your appointment I will ask you to complete the following paperwork:
3-Day Food and Mood Journal
Health History Questionnaire
Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (comprehensive symptom survey)
Nutritional Therapy Disclaimer/Consent Form
After completing and submitting all of your new client paperwork we will schedule a time for your first appointment. Local clients are encouraged to come to this first appointment in person (107 Wilcox Rd. Stonington, CT). For distance clients, the appointment will be conducted through a secure video chat.
In this appointment I will:
Review and analyze your intake paperwork
Conduct a 90 minute interview with you reviewing all relevant symptoms, health history, and lifestyle factors
Generate a comprehensive written protocol for you including:
Customized nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations
Supplementary resources such as meal templates, shopping lists, books, youtube videos, worksheets, etc.
Motivation and behavioral strategies for accountability and stress management
Recommendations for functional lab work
Referrals when appropriate
All appointments include a 10 minute follow up phone call, ideally scheduled halfway between your last appointment and your next. I highly encourage all clients to take advantage of this included service to seek clarification, hold yourself accountable, and increase your likelihood of success with your current protocol.
Step 3: Follow-up Appointments, 45 minutes, (in office or via secure video chat), $150
After completing the Comprehensive Intake Appointment you will be able to book follow up appointments in packages or a la cart. Each follow up appointment includes:
Food and Mood journal analysis and guidance
Review and update of your comprehensive written protocol
Detailed education around your symptoms and my recommendations
A 10 minute between appointments follow up phone call
